Backup Assessment
InteQ's Backup Assessment documents a customer's backup and recovery implementation and analyzes the gap between their current implementation and the implementation necessary to meet SLA commitments and business continuity requirements.
InteQ's Backup Assessment starts with an inventory of key data repository and the underlying infrastructure that requires backup and recovery. The assessment will:
Define backup and recovery requirements such as backup windows, service level commitments, and business continuity requirements within ITSM Best Practices.
Identify budget constraints
Provide a gap analysis between current backup strategies and best practice strategies with respect to the business requirement
IT-MAP for Backups
Information derived from the backup assessment is used to design a high level backup architecture that meets the customer's backup and recovery timeframes, identifies the costs associated with the design, and tradeoffs between costs and desired SLO.
Based upon the requirements defined in the Backup Assessment, the IT Management Architecture Plan for Backups
Defines appropriate recovery options
Provides a cost/benefit analysis of recovery options
Recommends risk reduction initiatives that will reduce the cost of recovery options and improve recovery time.
A suitable backup strategy which takes people, process and technology into consideration will be developed to meet your enterprises specific needs.
Knowledge Transfer
A priority of each and every InteQ is engagement is the success of the customer. In order to achieve success it is important that the customer's staff understands and feels comfortable with the implemented solutions. The InteQ staff works alongside the customer's staff during all facets of the engagement. The result is a level of knowledge unattainable by reading manuals or attending classes. Through this mentoring approach, the customer not of how people, process and technology solutions deployed apply to their unique environment.
Backup Implementation
Based upon the IT-MAP for Backups, InteQ will assist in deploying the preferred technology solution in the customer's environment. This may include:
Coordinating the installation of appropriate network and server hardware
Installing and establishing procedures for backup agents
Testing backups and restores for all defined backup windows to insure that they meet defined SLO's.
