Course Description
ITIL v3 Foundations is a three day, interactive, instructor led course that uses lecture, discussions, and group exercises to introduce the attendee to IT Service Management “good practice” guidance as described in the IT Infrastructure Library, ITIL version 3.

The course prepares attendees for the ITIL v3 Foundation Certification exam providing sample questions at the end of each unit and sample certification exams provided by the accreditation board for the purpose of preparing for the certification exam.

A one hour ITIL Foundations certification is administered by an independent proctor provided by an accredited certification agency at the end of the course.

Background
ITIL version 3.0 represents the second major refresh of ITIL®, an industry recognized framework of “good practices” guidance for IT Service Management. With its introduction in 2007, ITIL Version 3 extends ITIL “good practice” guidance to address advancements in technology and emerging challenges for IT service providers, delivers significant improvements to its approach to IT Service Management.

The ITIL Version 3 framework take a service lifecycle approach providing guidance on IT Service Management “good practices” in these five core disciplines.

Service Strategy
Service Design
Service Transition
Service Operations
Continual Service Improvement

These disciplines provide a framework that further enhances alignment with the business while demonstrating business value, ROI and enabling IT to solve specific operational needs.

Type: Multiple choices, 40 questions.
Duration: Maximum 60 minutes.
Delivery: A paper based exam will be administered by a proctor from an Accredited Training Organization / Provider upon completion of the course.
